KNX Intelligent Full Implementation for Leli Center Office
Many high-end office spaces are fitted with sophisticated smart panels, yet suffer from failed scenes and erratic linkage in actual operation. This KNX office intelligent project at Leli Center features full real-shot footage, covering everything from control panels down to the core control cabinet.
Intelligent systems have become standard for high-end executive offices and corporate headquarters renovations. However, many clients and designers we work with encounter the same awkward issue: Once a project is completed, walls are lined with premium touch panels that look stunning. But frequent malfunctions emerge after commissioning. Activating a scene preset results in out-of-sync lighting. Attempts to synchronize lighting, air conditioning and background music fall flat as systems operate in isolation. When receiving guests, staff still need to manually adjust light color temperatures one by one. The so-called "smart system" is nothing more than decorative panel hardware.
Great aesthetics with poor practicality — this is the common "pseudo-intelligence" prevalent in the industry. For genuine office intelligence, appearance is merely a bonus. The underlying system housed inside cabinets, stable bus logic, and scene programming tailored to real office reception workflows form the foundation of the whole solution.
Upon entering the office area, users directly interact with wall-mounted KNX touch panels and metal dimming knobs. The system adopts a clean, uncomplicated UI. Five core preset scenes are configured: Bright Mode, Soft Mode, Lounge Mode, Ambient Mode and Leave Mode.
When welcoming visitors, activate Lounge Mode. Lights automatically dim to a comfortable ambient level, background music turns on synchronously, and air conditioning adjusts to a temperature ideal for receptions. All devices link seamlessly without manual adjustments for individual equipment.
Equipped with metal infinite dimming knobs for manual fine-tuning of downlight and strip light brightness. Each rotation sends real-time KNX dimming commands to deliver smooth light transitions and eliminate abrupt brightness flicker.
Scenes can be triggered independently for separate zones or synchronized across multiple areas. Whether in the chairman’s private office or the cigar lounge for client meetings, environments adapt instantly to match requirements.

Few visitors step into the weak current room, yet this is where the reliability of the entire office intelligence resides. The cabinet is fitted with Schneider KNX actuator modules, bus server, audio processor, power amplifier and other hardware. Lighting, audio and air conditioning are all integrated into the KNX bus architecture. All scene commands are distributed and coordinated via the unified bus to enable cross-device linkage.
Real-time data can be monitored directly on the ETS configuration software backend: rotating the front metal knob triggers immediate changes to the lighting percentage value on the interface. Front-end input corresponds perfectly with backend commands, and the status of every circuit is clearly visible.
Offices experience heavy daily usage. Poor backend module selection, inadequate bus design or flawed logic programming inevitably lead to scene glitches and device offline issues later on. User interfaces are only the window to the system; modules, bus structure and programming constitute the backbone of intelligent automation.

Based on hands-on project delivery experience, we summarize practical insights for clients, designers and industry peers:
- Pitfall 1: Prioritizing panel aesthetics over backend configuration Many projects allocate most of the budget to decorative panels while downgrading backend modules and simplifying bus layout. Performance may seem acceptable at first, but lagging and scene failures will appear after prolonged use, bringing high maintenance costs in later stages.
- Pitfall 2: Overloading functions, resulting in poor usability An office is not an exhibition hall. Excessive functions and complex menu layers discourage administrators and executives from using the system. Smart solutions for premium offices should stabilize frequently-used scenes rather than stacking every possible feature.
- Pitfall 3: Isolated lighting, audio and air conditioning systems Without unified protocols and linkage logic, individual "smart" devices cannot deliver immersive scene experiences. High-end office projects demand a unified bus architecture and holistic system planning.
Maituo Intelligent Technology delivered the full-cycle KNX intelligent solution for Leli Center, covering preliminary consultation, KNX logic design, ETS programming & commissioning, on-site installation and final handover.
For premium commercial office spaces, aesthetics and robust system performance are equally essential. We uphold one principle: reject superficial pseudo-intelligence. Stability and practicality are our top priorities, ensuring technology serves real office and reception scenarios.
