In a typical guest room installation, it handles the 8 digital inputs from door sensors (main door, balcony door, safe door, mini-bar), DND push button, MUR push button, window contacts, and card reader presence — while the 8 indicator outputs drive the LED status lights on DND/MUR door panels, room status displays, and service request corridor lights visible to housekeeping staff.
The ultra-compact 21.2 mm height allows multiple modules to be stacked in tight hotel room distribution panels. Frequently purchased alongside the SXWHIO8CABLE10001 wiring harness for rapid field connection.
