5WG1258-2DB12 KNX PIR Presence Detector Brightness Sensor 360

The 5WG1258-2DB12 (UP 258D12) is a KNX-bus-powered ceiling-mounted presence and motion detector with integrated brightness sensor, designed for intelligent lighting control, HVAC occupancy management, and building automation in commercial offices, conference rooms, classrooms, and open-plan workspaces.

Communicating natively over the KNX/EIB bus, it requires no separate power supply — drawing approximately 10 mA directly from the KNX bus voltage (DC 24 V SELV). The PIR sensor provides 360-degree horizontal detection with three independent output channels (motion detector, presence detector, HVAC detector), each independently configurable with overshoot time, dead time, and telegram logic via ETS software.

The integrated brightness sensor (contrast measurement, 20–1000 lux) enables 2-level switching light control based on ambient daylight. A built-in IR receiver supports control via the S 255/11 IR remote control. Compatible with Desigo room automation systems via KNX PL-Link and with standard KNX S-mode BMS systems via ETS.
