The 5WG12582DB31 (UP 258 D31) is a KNX flush-mount presence detector that combines PIR occupancy sensing with ambient lux measurement for automated lighting and HVAC control. This aluminum silver (DB31) variant matches the DELTA design series aluminium-effect switch frames, making it ideal for contemporary commercial interiors, executive offices, and architectural spaces where metallic switch programs are specified.
Fully programmable via ETS with per-channel hold time, sensitivity adjustments, and scene integration capabilities.

The UP 258 series is designed for all occupancy-based automation scenarios. Typical applications include:

When presence is detected, the device sends ON telegrams to activate lighting or HVAC via the KNX bus. After the programmable hold time expires with no movement detected, an OFF telegram is issued. The integrated lux sensor prevents unnecessary activation when natural daylight is sufficient, delivering measurable energy savings.
