As part of the Schneider Electric STP family of immersion temperature probes, the 5123102010 (STP100-50 Pipe Temperature Sensor) is a rugged stainless-steel sensing element built to read the thermal condition of water inside pipes, tanks, and hydronic distribution loops. The slender probe is inserted through a welded pocket or directly into the medium, where its temperature-sensitive element converts heat into a resistance value that a controller can interpret for chiller staging, boiler sequencing, or domestic hot-water regulation.
A potted, moisture-resistant body and a sturdy cable gland keep the electrical connection dry even in plant rooms with condensation and wash-down routines. Because the sensor is purely passive it requires no auxiliary supply, which simplifies wiring inside congested mechanical rooms and eliminates a common failure point in retrofit projects. Each unit is factory checked against a traceable reference, supporting BMS commissioning reports and energy-audit documentation.
