The SXWSBTHCXSXX is the communicating sensor base of the SmartX living space sensor assembly, integrating temperature, relative humidity, and carbon dioxide sensing in a single wall-mounted device. This modular design separates the sensing components and electronics in the base from the visible interface provided by the cover, which is ordered separately.

This approach simplifies procurement and installation, allowing the same base to be used throughout a facility while varying only the fascia to match interior design requirements. Carbon dioxide sensing enables demand-controlled ventilation, allowing outdoor air intake to be modulated based on actual occupancy rather than running at fixed rates.

Proper placement is critical for CO2 sensors. Avoid locations near open doors, kitchen extracts, or dense desk clusters where readings may not represent overall space conditions.
