Product Overview
The N 141/21 KNX/DALI Gateway Twin Plus is a fully equipped two-line gateway that extends beyond basic switching, dimming, and scene control. This enhanced version incorporates essential functions for regulated projects including emergency lighting operation with test logging, constant light control, two-point lighting control, timers, effect control, and support for selected DALI sensors. This eliminates the need for separate KNX sensor devices by allowing presence detection and brightness measurement to operate directly on the lighting line.
Technical Specifications
- Protocol and Capacity: KNX TP1 device with two independent DALI interfaces supporting up to 64 DALI actuators per channel, plus at least 10 additional sensors per channel. DALI-2 certified when indicated on label.
- Power Supply: Integrated power supply generates DALI bus voltage and powers gateway electronics, ECGs, and sensors directly—eliminating the need for additional DALI power supplies. Features direct-mode key for manual control without ETS download or KNX communication.
- Sensor Support: Compatible with DALI sensors including pushbutton interfaces and presence/brightness sensors from manufacturers like Osram. Supports up to 16 DALI pushbutton inputs and 8 DALI presence detectors per channel.
- Emergency Functions: Emergency mode activation based on configurable ECG failures, emergency lighting test recording, inhibit mode to prevent battery mode activation, and lock object to suppress failure messages during testing.
- Lighting Control: Constant light control, two-point lighting control, timer operations, effect control, dimming limitations, scene management (up to 16 scenes per channel), burn-in functions, and color temperature control from firmware V11.
- Diagnostics & Maintenance: Comprehensive status and error reporting per group and device. Automatic configuration transfer to replacement ECGs of the same type without software intervention.
- Operating Modes: Bus mode, broadcast mode, standalone mode, direct mode, and constant-light mode. Compatible with application program 983411 (firmware V15) and ETS 5 or higher.
- Physical Design: Rail-mounted for distribution board installation, integrated bus coupling unit using half a standard bus load, front LC display and pushbuttons for mode switching and status display.
