MTN6710-0102S Schneider SpaceLogic KNX Multi Phase Dimming Master Two Way Secure 230V White 7.5mA Unit
This universal dimming master carries the KNX interface and serves as the central unit into which extension modules connect. The channel count of an installation is not fixed by the master but can be expanded by adding extensions. Two channels of universal dimming are provided on the device itself, with the control method selectable to suit the load. The master supports the security features of the KNX Secure generation and draws modest bus current.
The device provides substantial scene memory with sixteen scene values available for each output, accommodating rooms that cycle through multiple lighting states. Manual operation and status feedback are available, and the device is designed for DIN rail mounting in lighting cabinets.

The master and extension arrangement provides a flexible solution that is neither fully concentrated nor distributed. Starting with two dimmed groups, capacity can grow to six without replacing the original device, making it ideal for phased projects or installations where final lighting schemes are not yet settled.
Scene programming requires careful attention during commissioning, as sixteen values per output provides substantial flexibility but requires consistency across rooms. When implementing KNX Secure, security configuration should be planned with the overall installation rather than added later, as retrofitting security requires reconfiguring devices already in service.
- Hotel guest rooms and suites: Ideal for layered lighting with high scene counts and moderate channel requirements
- Office boardrooms and executive areas: Perfect for spaces requiring repeated lighting state recalls as operational requirements
- Restaurants and bars: Suitable for venues where lighting levels change with service periods and scenes are integral to operations
- Private residences: Excellent for deliberate lighting designs where occupants expect to recall named states
- Phased projects: Enables capacity expansion without replacing installed equipment, providing practical architectural flexibility
