NP16162_01WG Schneider Unica KNX 4 Key Push Button Wine Gold Backlit Scene Control Panel Unit 86mm
The NP16162_01WG is a four-key Unica KNX push button in the wine gold finish, combining the control capacity of the four-key panel with the warmest finish in the range. Four keys are enough to separate lighting, curtains, and a scene on a single plate — the configuration most often wanted in a room where the client has specified the interior and expects the control to be operated without explanation.
The device contains its own bus coupling unit and connects to the KNX line through a bus connecting terminal, so it is addressed and programmed in the same way as any other device on the installation. The application program supports both a short and a long operation on every key.
The symbols on the face are produced by backlighting rather than engraving, so the surface reads as a single plane when the room is unoccupied, and the labelling can be changed using the supplied foils.

The warm finish makes the panel, the fixing frame, and the cover frame into a single visual object. Because the panel ships without either frame, the three must be ordered together and in the same finish. Practically, that means the finish decision belongs at the specification stage rather than at the point of installation.
The second point is the scene convention: where the panel recalls scenes, the numbering should be fixed across the project so that a guest who learns the panel in one room can use it in another. The scenes themselves should be documented by name as well as by number.
The backlighting has separate day and night brightness and a proximity option. Both should be set with the panel in its final position and looked at in darkness, since a four-key panel emits considerably more light than a two-key one.
- Luxury hotel suites and boutique hospitality interiors — the primary application, where the finish is chosen to match brass or warm metal fittings and the lighting and curtains are operated from one position.
- High-end residential projects — used in principal rooms where the interior designer has specified the wall devices.
- Private dining rooms and clubs — applied where the lighting changes through the evening and the panel is visible to guests.
- Mixed-complexity interiors — where the same interior contains rooms of different complexity, the four-key panel in this finish allows a single visual family to be maintained while the key count varies. This is the practical reason the range is offered in several configurations of the same design.
