Product Description
Product Overview

The C2E621201_WE_C1 is a room thermostat from the Cuadro H family (sold as the Jingyue series in China). Unlike the keypads that share its 86 mm plate, it features a colour touch screen with an integrated temperature sensor behind it, reporting and controlling room conditions rather than lighting.

The device supports fan coil units, underfloor heating, and fresh air systems — covering the three terminal unit types found in most commercial rooms. It displays the actual temperature and heating or cooling status on screen, so occupants can see what the system is doing rather than only what it has been asked to do.

It is powered from the KNX line at 21 to 30 V DC and approximately 19 mA at 24 V, which is heavier than a keypad because of the screen. The coupling unit is integrated internally. Dimensions are 86 × 86 × 29 mm in a white finish.

System Integration Notes

The thermostat is the device on the floor where siting decides performance, and the installation instructions are unusually specific about it. No obstruction should sit within 30 centimetres in front of the device or 3 centimetres below it. The plate should not be installed in direct sunlight, and it should be kept away from heat sources such as heating vents and from air conditioning outlets.

Those three rules exist because the internal sensor measures the air where the plate is mounted. A plate beside a supply diffuser or in a sun patch will read a temperature that no other part of the room experiences.

The proximity function reaches about 12 centimetres, and the instructions note that the range varies with ambient brightness and with the colour of the product. The white version should therefore be judged in the finished room rather than on a bench.

Where the plate is combined with other accessories in a multi-gang frame, Schneider Electric recommends the AvatarOn S series frames, type E8331, and advises consulting on other ranges rather than mixing frames on site.

Application Scenarios
Hotel Guest Rooms

The primary application, where the guest reads the setpoint, changes it, and sees whether the system is heating or cooling. The room is typically a fan coil unit with a bathroom underfloor circuit in the same space.

Serviced Apartments & Student Accommodation

Used because it consolidates the room condition on one plate that a non-technical occupant can operate without instructions.

Offices

Applied in cellular rooms and meeting rooms where the terminal unit is a fan coil and the occupant needs local adjustment.

Residential Projects

Specified where underfloor heating is the primary system and the client wants a visible room temperature rather than a controller hidden in a cupboard.

Healthcare Consulting & Treatment Rooms

Used where the temperature has to be readable by staff and adjustable without leaving the room.

In all of these applications the same caution applies: the plate is a sensor as well as a controller, so its position on the wall is part of the commissioning, not an interior decision taken afterwards.
