Product Description
Product Overview

The C2E616303_MB_C1 is a six-gang glass-faced keypad in black — the version of the Cuadro H plate that most often ends up in photographs rather than in corridors. The code reads 303 for six gangs, 03 for a glass faceplate, and MB for black.

Behind the glass, the device is the standard bus node used across the range: KNX TP supply at 21 to 30 V DC, approximately 13 mA at 24 V, an integrated coupling unit, a two-core connector, and no mains connection — so nothing about the plate limits what it can control.

Six gangs is the capacity at which a lighting design fits on one plate without a second position. Functions are set entirely in ETS, which allows the same article number to serve a hotel room, a boardroom, or a restaurant with different group addresses and different icons.

System Integration Notes

The glass face and the microwave sensor must be treated as one system. Sensitivity is material-dependent: the material and one of two sensitivity levels are declared in ETS, and glass is a distinct option rather than an assumption. A plate configured for plastic will sense at the wrong range.

Beyond that, the installation is conventional but unforgiving on detail:

  • The box must be at least 35 mm deep and is not supplied.
  • The retaining ring is limited to 6 kgf·cm.
  • The buttons cannot be removed, so the icon set must be agreed before the plate is fitted.
  • Cleaning is restricted to a soft dry cloth — solvents will mark the surface.

With twelve operations available, the layout convention should be issued with the group address list. On a black glass plate there is no tactile cue beyond the printed icons, so an inconsistent layout between two identical rooms is noticed by the occupant even when nothing is technically wrong.

Application Scenarios

Six-gang glass plates are specified where a room carries a designed lighting scheme and the interior is meant to be seen.

  • Hotel suites — used on dark stone or lacquered walls where the entrance position controls several lighting groups, the curtain, and a night scene. The plate reads as a black panel rather than a switch.
  • Restaurants and bars — applied where lighting changes between service periods. The glass surface survives the cleaning that hospitality demands better than a painted plate.
  • Boardrooms and function rooms — used where the room is set to different conditions through the day.
  • High-end residential projects — specified in living rooms where the client asked for a single comprehensive plate in a dark scheme.

Where the same floor uses the four-gang glass plate in guest rooms, this version covers the suites. The shared footprint means the plate can be changed for a larger one without altering the wall.
