The U201SRY2KWZB belongs to the Clipsal Ulti range, a wireless lighting control family designed by Schneider Electric for retrofit work in finished interiors. This module installs behind existing Ulti impress plates, utilizing the 2.4 GHz Zigbee mesh to carry switching commands without requiring new wiring through decorated walls.

The housing contains a single latching relay rated for 240V circuits at 9.1A, suitable for most downlight, batten, and pendant loads found in hotel corridors, apartment bedrooms, and office spaces. The amber LED on the fascia provides clear status indication without being disruptive in dark environments.

As a two-wire retrofit device, it occupies the same wall box as the mechanism it replaces, preserving the building's visible design language while upgrading the control layer. Setup is performed wirelessly from a Zigbee coordinator, enabling binding to buttons, occupancy logic, time schedules, or scenes without further wiring modifications.

Commissioning begins by bringing the module into the Zigbee network while the plate is removed, then binding it to the physical rockers users will operate. Once configured, physical buttons and radio commands function as independent inputs, allowing a single rocker to toggle the relay locally while gateway commands control the same output via schedules.

When mixing Ulti modules with other Zigbee devices, position the coordinator to provide the module with a route through at least one mains-powered neighbor, as battery-powered devices cannot relay traffic.

Group addressing enables multiple modules to respond to single commands, ideal for corridor and façade lighting coordination. The latching relay maintains its last state through brief power interruptions rather than dropping the circuit.
