NP16212_01WG Schneider Unica Range KNX Wall Station Five Keys Wine Gold plus Thermostat Display Screen Unit
The NP16212_01WG is the thermostat version of the Unica KNX wall station in the wine gold finish. The combination of a room thermostat with a lighting keypad on a warm metal face is aimed squarely at interiors where the wall devices are specified by a designer rather than by a contractor.
The plate carries five operating buttons with status indicators and a display that shows the actual room temperature together with the heating, cooling and ventilation status. The integrated temperature sensor measures the room from the control position.
The thermostat application supports fan coil units, variable refrigerant flow systems, floor heating and ventilation. The fan coil type allows the temperature reference to come from the internal sensor, an external sensor or a combination of both.
The device draws approximately 18 milliamperes for the key section and approximately 22 milliamperes for the thermostat section from the KNX bus. It requires no mains connection and occupies two modules.

The warm finish makes this a visible device, which means the fixing frame and cover frame have to be specified at the same time and in the same finish. The wall station is supplied without either, and a shade difference in a warm metal assembly reads as a defect.
On the thermal side, the practical decision is where the room temperature is measured. A combined device fixes the sensor to the control position, so the external sensor option or a mixed reference should be used where that wall is not representative of the occupied space.
The floor heating application offers PI control with either PWM or switching two-point feedback. The choice affects how audible the thermal actuator is; in a premium interior that matters as much as the control accuracy.
The display brightness and standby behaviour are configured in the application. The standby setting should be judged in the finished room after dark, where a bright display is more objectionable than a bright key symbol.
- Luxury hotel suites and boutique hospitality interiors are the main application, where the guest reads and adjusts the temperature from the same plate that controls the lighting and the finish matches the joinery.
- High-end residential projects use it in master suites and living rooms where the client expects one control point for both services.
- Private clubs and fine dining rooms specify it where the room condition is set by staff and the wall device is visible to guests.
- Serviced apartments and premium student accommodation apply it because consolidating the thermostat and the keypad into one plate reduces the number of devices and the number of trades that have to coordinate at the same position.
- Where several finishes and key counts are used across a project, this device keeps the room thermostat inside the same visual family as the lighting control.

NP16164_01MS Schneider Unica Range KNX Wall Station with Eight Keys Metallic Silver Status LEDs Coupler
Product Overview The NP16164_01MS is the eight-key Unica KNX wall station in a metallic silver finish — the combination chosen when a project needs the largest control capacity in the range while still presenting a machined metal face rather than a utility panel. The wall station carries its own bus ... -
NP16161_01MS Schneider Unica KNX 2 Key Push Button Metallic Silver Backlit Scene Control Panel Unit
Product Overview The NP16161_01MS is a two-key Unica KNX push button finished in metallic silver — a surface that reads as a machined metal face rather than painted plastic, making it the preferred choice where the wall device is part of the visible design. NP16162_01BK_E1 Schneider Unica KNX Four Gang Push Button Black Backlit Symbols Programmable Module
Product Overview The NP16162_01BK_E1 is a four-key Unica KNX push button supplied in black. The step from two keys to four is the point at which a panel stops being a pair of switches and starts being a small control surface. Four keys give enough room to separate the obvious functions of a room — ...
