C2E616401_GY_C1 Schneider Cuadro H Eightfold Bus-Fed KNX Switch Interface Light Grey Plastic 13mA SELV Device
The C2E616401_GY_C1 is the eight-gang grey plastic keypad at the top of the Cuadro H capacity range. At this point the device is better understood as a small control station than as a light switch. The article number follows the family rule: 401 denotes eight gangs, 01 denotes a plastic faceplate, and GY denotes grey — only a metal (402) or glass (403) variant would change the surface.
The bus side is unchanged from the smaller plates, which is the point of the range: 21 to 30 V DC from the KNX line, approximately 13 mA at 24 V, an integrated coupling unit, a two-core connector with red to plus and black to minus, no mains terminal, and therefore no load rating to check against the circuit. The plate measures 86 × 86 mm and is 29 mm deep, retained by a metal ring at no more than 6 kgf·cm, and is certified to CE and the KNX standard with IP20 protection for indoor use at altitudes up to 2000 m.

Eight gangs produce sixteen operations with short and long presses — more capacity than most rooms genuinely need, and exactly the amount that gets filled badly without a schedule. The discipline that works is to assign by function in a fixed order, document each gang against its group address, and deliberately mark unused gangs as spare so they are not improvised into service later by whoever is on site.
The proximity sensor is the other item that needs a decision rather than a default: detection is by microwave, sensitivity depends on the panel material, and both the material and one of two sensitivity levels are configured in ETS. The plastic face must therefore be declared as plastic, and the level chosen for the room.
Eight-gang plates belong where a single position has to run a complex room:
- Hotel suites and public rooms — entrance positions controlling lighting groups, curtains, scene recall and the do-not-disturb state. A grey face is chosen where the joinery is warm neutral and the plate should not compete with the artwork.
- Function rooms and conference suites — where the room is reconfigured between layouts and lighting states follow the layout.
- Control rooms and operator areas — where several systems are operated from one position.
- High-end residential projects — specified in principal rooms where lighting is designed in many layers.
- Premium retail — where a large area is divided into display zones controlled from a back-of-house position.
Where a floor mixes gang counts, the eight-gang plate is normally reserved for the two or three rooms that need it, keeping the rest of the installation simpler to operate and to document.

C2E616101_WE_C1 Schneider Cuadro H KNX Push Button Two Gang White 15mA Integrated Bus Coupler Unit
Product Overview The C2E616101_WE_C1 is the white two gang member of the Cuadro H KNX push button range — the version specified in the largest quantities, because a white plate on a white wall is the least conspicuous control device available. The engineering is deliberately plain: a polycarbonate ... -
NP16162_01WG Schneider Unica KNX 4 Key Push Button Wine Gold Backlit Scene Control Panel Unit 86mm
Product Overview The NP16162_01WG is a four-key Unica KNX push button in the wine gold finish, combining the control capacity of the four-key panel with the warmest finish in the range. Four keys are enough to separate lighting, curtains, and a scene on a single plate — the configuration most often ... -
