Product Description
Product Overview

The C2E616301_MB_C1 is the six-gang keypad of the Cuadro H range, featuring a matt black plastic plate. Among the six-gang options in this family, it delivers full capacity without the metal price point. The article number decodes as 301 for six gangs, 01 for plastic, and MB for matt black — making it the polymer sibling of the metal six-gang C2E616302 and the glass six-gang C2E616303.

It is a bus device in the full sense: 21 to 30 V DC from the KNX line, approximately 13 mA at 24 V, an integrated coupling unit, and a two-core connector with red and black cores. No mains terminal is required. The physical envelope measures 86 × 86 × 29 mm, the retaining ring is metal with a 6 kgf.cm torque limit, and the declaration is CE plus KNX certification with IP20 for indoor use.

System Integration Notes

On a black plastic plate, two installation details deserve more attention than they usually get.

Surface handling. A matt black polymer face is the least forgiving finish in the range for handling, because every fingerprint shows and cannot be polished out. The instructions restrict cleaning to a soft dry cloth with no solvents. This is not a reason to avoid the finish, but it is a reason to keep the dust prevention cover on during decoration and to fit the plate last rather than first.

Proximity parameter. Microwave detection is material dependent. The material and the sensitivity level are set in ETS, and a polymer plate declared as metal will produce sensing that appears random. The instructions also note that detection varies with environment, panel material, and the size and speed of the hand — so the sensitivity level should be chosen for the room rather than copied from another project.

Application Scenarios

The black six-gang plate is specified where a room needs comprehensive control and the interior is dark.

  • Hotel suites — used on dark timber or lacquered walls where the entrance position controls the lighting groups, the curtain, and a night scene, with the plate meant to recede.
  • Bars and restaurants — applied where the lighting changes between service periods and the wall finish is dark.
  • Residential living and media rooms — used where the client wants a single comprehensive plate in a black scheme.
  • Corporate boardrooms — specified where the lighting, blinds, and presentation state are operated from the door.
  • Premium retail — used in fitting rooms and on display walls where the fittings are black.

Because the same capacity is available in metal and glass, the plastic version is normally chosen where the plate is repeated many times and the budget is better spent on the rooms that guests touch most closely.
