The C2E616201_WE_C1 is the four gang Cuadro H push button in white — the capacity that most commercial rooms actually need once lighting is split into zones and a curtain or blind is added. The device is a KNX bus participant with an integrated coupling unit, drawing 21 to 30 volts DC at a rated current of 15 milliamperes through a bus terminal, mounted flush in an 86 by 86 millimetre polycarbonate plate 29 millimetres deep with a glossy white surface.

Its technical type is proximity and its switch application is control switch, so the plate reacts to an approaching hand and sends telegrams rather than switching a load directly. Because there is no mains connection and no relay inside, the device is independent of the load it controls — which is why the same plate can switch a lighting circuit, recall a scene or move a blind without any change to the hardware.

Four gang is the point at which the plate needs to be planned rather than installed. Where a project uses the same plate at two, six and eight gangs, the four gang version is normally the workhorse, and keeping the same white finish across the counts means the spares list stays short.
